Welcome to Inman Park

Vibrant neighborhood combining the best of old and new

Inman Park is a vibrant neighborhood on Atlanta’s east side where historic homes meet urban lofts. Inman Park was established in the 1880s as Atlanta’s first streetcar suburb. Its location and transportation remain big attractions today, with the urban core of Downtown Atlanta just minutes away by car or MARTA Green Line. Adjacent to the BeltLine walking and biking trail to the west and 200-acre Freedom Park to the north, Inman Park combines an energetic restaurant and nightlife scene with plenty of outdoor recreation space.

Inman Park’s real estate includes many original elegant Victorians and classic 1920s bungalows, along with newly-built brown brick townhomes, loft conversions, and charming contemporary single-family homes.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

Located alongside the BeltLine trail, the converted industrial space of Krog Street Market perfectly encapsulates Inman Park’s unique blend of historic heritage and contemporary cool. This mixed-used redevelopment features 300 apartments in a complex centered on a European-style market with dozens of food vendors and merchants.

Other standouts of Inman Park’s stellar dining scene include BoccaLupo, a bustling Italian restaurant that has earned rave reviews from Zagat and The New York Times. Bread & Butterfly is a quaint European-style eatery with a wide-ranging menu of tasty mains and an extensive wine list. Wisteria combines globally-influenced Southern-style cooking with a large selection of craft beers, cocktails, and wines, while Victory Sandwiches is a trendy modern spot serving creative sandwiches and cocktails.

Things to Do

The Atlanta BeltLine’s Eastside Trail runs along Inman Park’s entire western edge. This converted railroad is part of a trail network that is expected to span 33 miles, with multi-use paths connecting 45 Atlanta neighborhoods. The BeltLine runs through Freedom Park, a sprawling green space with many other trails for walking and biking. Freedom Park is the largest linear park in the city, containing monuments depicting local Civil Rights heroes Martin Luther King, Jr. and John Lewis, as well as President Jimmy Carter’s Carter Center. The park has various other permanent and temporary art exhibits and an enclosed dog park. Located just outside of the Carter Center is the Freedom Farmers’ Market, which is held every Saturday year-round.

During the last weekend of April, the Inman Park Festival features an arts & crafts market with 150 talented artisans from various disciplines and a street market with over 250 vendors. The Inman Park Tour of Homes is one of the festival’s most popular events, providing guided tours of some of the neighborhood’s most noteworthy historic properties. There is also a lively parade through the neighborhood, a dedicated kids’ zone full of family-friendly activities, and three stages of live music. During Inman Park Festival, performing arts venue The Trolley Barn hosts classical and contemporary dance performances from several local groups. The Trolley Barn showcases a variety of other events throughout the year within a space constructed in 1889 to house Atlanta’s streetcars.
